I’ve just got off of a plane in Germany and so pleased and excited to hear that Graft has been long-listed for the Stella Prize! So well-deserved! I hope you find time to celebrate that between picking up the domestic balls.

Serendipity! I am on a plane, just landed in Adelaide, having finished reading When It Rains on the flight from Doha (after a week in Bahrain).

So sorry I missed you in my home town, but equally glad you enjoyed it here!

Thank you, for your words.

I was thrilled (and not surprised) to see Graft on the list. But I was also shocked to see Stone Yard Devotional wasn’t chosen. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it x

Congratulations Maggie!

I took my time reading Graft . Reading your book was like meditation for me, tuning in, listening and transporting. I truely appreciate your honesty with the everyday drudgery and hard slog that I connect with but a gentle reminder to keep looking just beyond to things that give us joy, sometimes it’s easy to forget to look up.

Woohoo!! I’ve come here to say congratulations Maggie, having seen the long list on social media ( . . . and to read this week’s words). It’s not often I am sent a book from an author complete with a staple of beautiful fine merino wool. Let alone that author then appearing on the Stella Prize long list. Huge congratulations from a long term NSW Central Tablelands fan.

As i looked out of my bedroom window in South Wales, UK to thick fog, and no sight of the field to the river - i ppened my phone and saw your email.

Gone was the fog and thanks to your beautiful way with words, I was immediately transported to Adelaide, to the Festival, the books and readings.

Many congratulations on you being on that List. I long to read your latest book and will....

With love from Liz (Harvey)

We simply don’t get a rollcall like that in Melbourne. Have been hearing for years how excellent AWW is. Sounds like five days is needed to do it justice, I’ll have to find them!

Wasn’t that Isabella Rossellini piece terrific. I’ve gone and followed her on Instagram now, dammit.
