“Wait” - a powerful word and one I need to hear as my life resets moving into the second half of the year. I’m not going to rush even when I feel that people are trying to rush me to suit their own lives. This year I’m going to not rush….and choose to wait more. Thank you again for your wisdom. xxx
'polishing my solitude' xxx love this, as always, dear Maggie x And love especially the idea of the winter solstice as re-set time xx enjoy the waiting xx
Yes to your capacity for yes Maggie. And grabbing the sand and rubbing it into your skin - that is a yes in itself. I too have swum in the sea over this Winter Solstice weekend, but I suspect even the Southern Ocean was warmer, certainly the sun was shining. It is not now, but the memory of it and the piercing awareness in your words will stay with me.
Life is very challenging in this moment - menopause, kids out and about in the world, the world and a new puppy (!) - I know that when I land on your posts, I will be taken somewhere in this moment and that is good. As always, thank you…
You're a cup of tea for the soul.

Oh I love that idea of the winter solstice being a beginning. A reset. I'd never thought about it that way but it's so true.
And thank you for the mention!

Yes, reset and wait. I feel like you have given me the answer. Thank you.
